Dr Bugg qualified in 1995. She is widowed with 2 children and her interests are family planning, obstetrics and gynaecology. She is also available for minor surgery and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. In her spare time, Debbie likes to keep fit and spend time with her young children.
Dr Stephen qualified in 1994. He is married and has three children. His medical interests are drug misuse and palliative care. He also is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Until recently, John has been extending his house but now plans to have a well-earned rest.
Dr Turner joined the Practice in July 2011. She quailified in 1991. She is married and has three children. Her interests are in drug and alcohol misuse. She is a member of the Royal College of General Pracitioners. In her spare time, Glynnis likes to cycle and run marathons.
We occasionally employ locums to provide when a doctor takes annual, maternity or sickness leave. A locum doctor is a fully qualified doctor and will be able to advise you in the same way as your own doctor. lf you are seeing a locum doctor or nurse you will be informed of this when you make the appointment.

Community Midwife runs a regular antenatal clinic on day a week at the surgery. To contact a Midwife please call 01209 842172. To book an antenatal appointment please call the surgery on 01209 216507.
District Nurses are based at the Health Office in Redruth and their role is to provide nursing care for patients when they are unable to come in to the surgery, either on a long term basis for the very elderly and frail, or on a temporary basis when recovering from an operation. They regularly liaise with practice staff and call in for any messages. If you already see a District Nurse, their telephone number is 01209 881858. Otherwise please discuss your needs with your doctor.
A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social well being.

Mental Health and Well Being Counselling
The Practice has three counsellors Paul Geynes, June Toy and Sally Twyford who are employed by Outlook Southwest. Each Counsellor has a different speciality and your doctor will refer you accordingly.
Alcohol and Drug Misuse Counselling
We have two counsellors, Fran Buckle and Michelle Pearce-Authors who are employed by Addaction. Your doctor will refer you if there is a need for this type of counselling.
Smoking Cessation Counselling
We also have two smoking cessation advisors, Sue and Jane, who will help you to stop smoking. You can request an appointment with a stop smoking counsellor through reception. You do not need to be referred by your doctor.
