IMPORTANT CHANGES COMING TO CLINTON ROAD SURGERY
From 30 October 2019 we will start using a new clinical computer system called EMIS. This will provide a faster, more reliable and future-proofed service to our patients.
The changeover period will begin on 18 October 2019
Please help us to help you during the changeover by:
- Online services - Our online service `The Waiting Room` will be closed down on 17/10/19 and our new system will be available to register from week commencing 07/12/19. During the changeover please order you repeat medication via your pharmacy or via email to email@example.com
- Each user will need to be revalidated individually by the practice; this is why the down time is so great.
- GP appointments: Urgent on-the-day only from 28/10/19 to 01/11/19
- Nurse appointments: Available to book as normal
- Phlebotomy/Bloods: Only urgent blood tests will be carried out 18/10/19 to 01/11/19
- Prescriptions: We will be unable to accommodate last-minute requests. It is vital that you request any repeat medication in plenty of time. Do not leave requests until the last minute.
We understand that these temporary changes will cause some disruption and we very much appreciate your patience and support.

How do I request repeat medication?
When the doctor gives you a prescription, the sheet attached provides details of your medication. This is your repeat prescription request. You can request another prescription by ticking the box beside the item you need. You may call at the surgery and put your request in the box provided at reception or send it in by post.
This website allows you to order repeat prescription requests online via the link at the top of this page. You will need to fill in a form at the surgery to register your email details. We will send you an email with your unique login.
What if I have lost my repeat prescription request?
lf you have mislaid your printed repeat prescription request, please make a request in writing. We do not take requests for medication over the telephone. This is to prevent any misunderstandings about the medication you require. Please attach a SAE if you wish your prescription to be returned to you by post.
Can I get my medication at the surgery?
No. We are not a dispensing practice and do not dispense medication. You will have to take your prescription to a chemist or ask them to collect it on your behalf (see below).
Chemist Collection Service
The local chemists run a collection service. Please contact your regular chemist for details. Using the chemist collection service can sometimes make the process a little longer.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
