When We Are Closed

lf you need a doctor in an emergency after 18:30and before 08:00 please telephone NHS 111.

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly PCT is responsible for commissioning this service. ln the interests of patients, calls to the out of hours service are recorded but are covered by the normal confidentiality applied to patients medical records.

Minor Injuries

The nearest Minor Injuries Unit is at Camborne Redruth Hospital where you can be seen without seeing a doctor first. Their opening hours are 08:00 to 22:00 every day. If you attend Minor Injuries, you will be seen as soon as possible and probably more quickly than at Accident & Emergency in Royal Cornwall Hospital.

The Hospital has an X-ray department and will help you with broken bones and sprains. They will also help you with minor burns, insect bites, minor eye injuries and emergency contraception.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
